Ich fragte einen alten Mann mit Sternen in seinen Augen,
"Wie kann ich nur in einer Welt voller Lügen leben?
Überall, wo ich hinkomme, gibt es Probleme, weißt du,
Aber ich will nur einen Ort finden, der für mich gemacht ist." Er sagte...

"An manchen Tagen bist du heiß, und an manchen Tagen bist du kalt,
An manchen Tagen bist du jung, an manchen Tagen bist du alt.
Ob irgendwohin oder nirgendwohin, der Weg ist immer derselbe,
Niemandem ist zu danken und niemand ist zu tadeln.
Jeder Weg ist dein Weg, und jeder Weg
Ist einfach derselbe."

Ich sah ein junges Mädchen auf der Straße spielen,
"Wie kannst du jeden anlächeln, den du triffst,
Wenn du weißt, dass es überall Probleme gibt,
Und es scheint, als kämst du nicht von hier nach dort?" Sie sagte...

Ich schaute auf all die guten Dinge in meinem Leben,
Meine Kinder und meine Freunde und meine liebevolle Frau.
All die Liebe, die immer da ist, und ich sehe
Der Unterschied zwischen Gut und Böse liegt tief in mir. Ich sage...
