It was the (Em)day (D)of the (Em)Hamster,
Oh (C)how he ruled the (D)town!

That (Am)little Hamster (D)boy,

Looked it up - hamsters live in hordes.
Already knew a male hamster is a buck.
The hamster in the song is, obviously, so much more than a buck.

The words ‘bull’ and ‘flock’ work for me in the context of a heroic hamster song.
