(Am) Look now! Who puts on his (F)magic cap?
It’s the (G)great magician Fred (Am)Zappzarapp!
He (F)is a happy man, because (Am)everyone can tell
That the (E)great magician can do (Am)magic very well.
(Dm)He's the best magician in the (G)world, I am told,
And he (E)never does magic for money or for (Am)gold. (F) (G) (Am)

(E)And when a doggie is mis(Am)treated by a bad guy,
And the (F)great magician Fred (G)happens by,
The (E)villain should quickly try to (Am)run for cover,
Be(F)cause the magician is an (E)animal lover.
He (Am)mumbles some words that (G)do not sound kind,
And the (F)villain grows a dog's tail (G)right on his be(Am)hind! (F) (G) (Am)

And when a (E)child in a corner (Am) cries bitter tears,
It can (F)happen that the magician (G)Zappzarapp appears.
He (E)runs to the child, says, "I’ll (Am)cast a good spell!''
And in (F)less than a jiffy the (E)child again feels well.
(Am)Fred joyfully runs down the (G)secret magic lane,
He (F)really did that (G) very well a(Am)gain! (F) (G)

And the (F)great magician Fred (G) happens by,
He (E)sings for the little kid a (Am)mighty magic song,
And the (F)little kid right away is (E)terribly strong!
Fred (Am)joyfully runs down the (G)secret magic lane,
He (F)really did that (G) very well a(Am)gain! (F) (G)
