The Language Of The Brain And The Language Of The Heart Jan Hauenstein

(C) (C5) (G) (Am) (Fj7) (Fj9) (G) (G/C)(G/D)
(C) The language of the (C5)brain and the (G)language of the (Am)heart
(Fj7) Sometimes (Fj9)are (G)worlds apart. (G4)(G5)

(C) A man and a (Em7/B)woman (Am)meet and fall in (Fj7)love,
(C) Both know their (Em7/B)demons from the (Am)past.
(C) A man and a (Em7/B)woman (Am)met and fell in (Fj7)love,
(C) The odds said (Em7/B)that it would not (Am)last. (Bbj7/F) (G) (G/B) (Am) (C/B)

(C) The language of the (C5)brain and the (G)language of the (Am)heart
(Fj7) Sometimes (Fj9)are (G)worlds apart. (G/C)(G/D)
(C) The language of the (C5)brain and the (G)language of the (Am)heart
(Fj7) Sometimes (Fj9)are (G) worlds apart,
Worlds a(Cj7)part. (Fj7) (Cj7) (Fj7) (Fj9)(hold) (Fj7)(hold)

(C) He is a (Em7/B)veteran of a (Am)long ago war,(Fj7)
(C) He is a (Em7/B)victim of the (Am)booze.
(C) She wrote his (Em7/B)name (Am) in letters of (Fj7)flame,
(C) Refused the (Em7/B)thought that love might (Am)lose.
(Fj7) One good woman, (G) one good man. (G)(G/B)(Am) (Am/E)

(Fj7) There was love, (Bbj7/F)love that was true,
(Am) But it turned from red to (G)blue.
(Fj7) They were riding (Bbj7/F) a dying horse,
(Am) Two survivors of past (G)wars. (G/C)(G/D)
(C) (C5) (G) (Am) (Fj7) (Fj9) (G) (G4)(G5)

(C) The language of the (C5)brain and the (G)language of the (Am)heart
(Fj7) Sometimes (Fj9)are (G)worlds apart. (G/C)(G/D)
(C) The language of the (C5)brain and the (G)language of the (Am)heart
(Fj7) Sometimes (Fj9)are (G) worlds apart,
Worlds (G/B)a(Am)part. (Fj7) (G)(hold) (G) (Em7/B) (Cj7)

Long time coming.
Found the words for the chorus on an old scrap of paper from I don´t know when.
Last year I noticed they would work well with parts of an instrumental piece
I had been working on, on and off, for quite a while.
In February 2013 the verses and the bridge happened.

Why no free uploads? I cover songs. Register them with the German music rights agency GEMA. They hopefully reimburse the artists. The tax authorities demand that I make (not lose) a little money each year...
