You Can Pick Your Nose, But You Can´t Really Strum It Jim Clare & Jan Hauenstein
You can pick and strum guitars… what about noses?
As a (C)picker, I feel I must (Am)say, I suppose,
It (F)seems a bit much to be (G)strumming one's nose,
(F)Noses are structured to be (G)blown, wiped or picked,
(F)Strumming is only a (G)cheap, (F) (G) showy (C)trick.(C/B)(Am)(Am)(C/B)(C)(C/E)(G/D)(hold)
You can (C)pick your (Am)nose,
But you (F)can´t really (G)strum it,
For (C)if you (Am)do, it´ll (F)just turn (G)numb, it
´ll (F)turn bright red
In the (G)middle of your head.
I (Am)guess that shows
That you (G)shouldn´t ever (F)strum (G)your (C)nose,
Thar (C/B)she (Am)blows.(Am/E)(F)(F/E)(G/D)(G)(hold)
My (C)nose is running, look, (Am)there it goes,
Right (F)into the pub known as (G)Pelican Joe's,
Just (F)time for a short one, but (G)make it real quick,
It's al(F)ready past last call, you're (G)here (F) (G) in the (C)nick.(C/B)(Am)(Am)(C/B)(C)(C/E)
(F)Pelican Joe´s is
Not (G)only for noses,
The (E)nape of the neck
Is (Am)having a snack,
The (F)calf had a laugh and a (G)piece of same,
(E)Cannibalism just be(Am)cause of its name.
See, the (Em)belly lost a (Am)button,
De(Em)voured too much (Am)mutton,
Oh, the (F)belly lost a (C)button,
De(G)voured too much (C)mutton.(C/E)(G/D)(G/D)(F)(Fadd9)(F)(C/E)(C)(C)(C/E)(G/D)(G)(C)(hold)
´Tis a (C)shame about the belly, but the (Am)nature of a glutton,
To (F)eat up like a pig, 'till (G)all that's left is nuttin'.
(F)Leavin' Joe to clean the (G)place out with a hose,
(F)All because I tried to (G)strum (F) (G) my (C)nose.(C/B)(Am)(Am)(C/B)(C)(C/E)(G/D)(hold)
You can (C)pick your (Am)nose,
But you (F)can´t really (G)strum it,
For (C)if you (Am)do, it´ll (F)just turn (G)numb, it
´ll (F)turn bright red
In the (G)middle of your head.
I (Am)guess that shows
That you (G)shouldn´t ever (F)strum (G)your (C)nose,
Thar (C/B)she (Am)blows,(Am/E)(F)(F)(F/E)(G/D)(G)(hold)
(C)Ah, thar (C/B)she (Am)blows.(Am/E)
(F)Is that(F/E)your (G/D)nose? (G)Huge...(hold)
(Am)Don´t you think that shows
You should (F)never ever (G)(hold)strum (G)your (C)(hold)nose?(G7) (C)

Why no free uploads? I cover songs. Register them with the German music rights agency GEMA. They hopefully reimburse the artists. The tax authorities demand that I make (not lose) a little money each year......more
